GreenWorks is dedicated to helping the environment by diverting large quantities of redundant office and educational furniture from landfill with the prime aim of ‘re-use’. As part of the London Re-use Network which is made up of local charities and not for profit organizations that work together to deliver reuse and repair services, GreenWorks collects from very large office blocks to single office suites and provides second hand quality re-use furniture to charities, community and educational groups and small business via the network.

AFI have been manufacturing the Phase office furniture brand in the UK for over 20 years. We pride ourselves on producing high quality office furniture at highly competitive prices and on giving the best possible service to our customers.
Our production facility which consists of two factories, the Wood factory for all our Desks, Storage and Screens and our Seating Factory which cover the Operator, Breakout and Reception chairs, both are equipped with the latest high volume production machinery. We also hold a finished stock level in the region of £2.5 million to allow us to offer a Rapid Delivery Service.
Our service involves full support with Account Managers throughout the UK as well as a professional customer service team to help maintain and develop business with clients. We also offer a full CAD planning service and once orders are placed we deliver all products on our own fleet of vehicles and if required install using our own fitters. Our stock levels are our major strength and we hold a finished stock of approx £2.5 million at any one time thus allowing us to ensure fast delivery throughout the UK.
AFI relationship with GreenWorks
AFI have recently signed an exciting new deal working in partnership with GreenWorks. GreenWorks is an award-winning registered charity and social enterprise dedicated to radically changing the way society thinks about waste.
Our joint aim is to turn redundant office furniture into an asset and a resource. Using the four R's we aim to,
- Reduce,
- Re-use,
- Remanufacture
- Recycle
Therefore diverting all unwanted office furniture from landfill. Through GreenWorks, we will not only remove furniture, we will also find the best use for it. We offer the best quality items to charities, community organisations, small businesses and for domestic use across the country at a substantial discount. This also includes donating furniture to help rebuild communities across the developing World and a number of schools in Sierra Leone.
When researching the statistics regarding ‘End of Life' furniture, we were shocked to discover around 350 - 400,000 tonnes of furniture is sent to landfill every year in the UK. As a manufacturer of Office Furniture we feel that it is our duty to ensure we offer the best possible solution to diverting this furniture from landfill - a sustainable solution to a national problem. GreenWorks has already been responsible for diverting over 60,000 tonnes of furniture from landfill by finding new uses for these items. By partnering with them we will help them to continue in order to increase our chances at sustainable living.
