GreenWorks is dedicated to helping the environment by diverting large quantities of redundant office and educational furniture from landfill with the prime aim of ‘re-use’. As part of the London Re-use Network which is made up of local charities and not for profit organizations that work together to deliver reuse and repair services, GreenWorks collects from very large office blocks to single office suites and provides second hand quality re-use furniture to charities, community and educational groups and small business via the network.

Why use GreenWorks?

GreenWorks offer a complete environmental furniture service

  • Our priority is to maximise the use of the furniture we get, not to maximise our profits.
  • GreenWorks have redirected re-use office furniture to over 16,000 organisations including schools, charities and small businesses, saving over £2.5m in the process.
  • We have made donations of second-hand office furniture to several deprived regions of the world and worked with others to do the same.
  • Our partner processing centres are located in deprived areas to create real jobs and training opportunities for people who need help to get back on their feet.
  • We help people who have been homeless, in prison, excluded and unemployed for a long time.
  • GreenWorks is proud of its positive social impact having provided up to £500,000 of social benefit a year.
  • GreenWorks has been acknowledged as a national leader in this field winning the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise 2008 - Sustainable Development.

  Our Ethics

  • Protect the environment through the diversion of waste from landfill.
  • Reduce the operating costs of community groups, charities and start up business.
  • Create employment and training.

Our Mission:

GreenWorks aims to maximise the re-use of redundant office furniture to protect the environment and to make quality office items available at great value to Charities, the Community Sector and small businesses. We enable organisations to create social and environmental benefits from their disposal of office furniture through GreenWorks partners with other like-minded groups to distribute these employment and social benefits nationwide.
