Green-Works Leicester is an exciting outlet that is full of smart, affordable, green ideas that would compliment your home or your office. The outlet opened at the beginning of August 2003, as the second satellite outside London. This site is operated by Stride a not for profit social enterprise which is part of the Shelter Housing Aid & Research Project (SHARP). There are three regional outlets which supply quality office furniture to charities, schools, housing associations, community groups, hospitals and start-up business in Leicester, Rutland and surrounding areas.
David Brazier said: This is an exciting new venture for us into uncharted territory. STRIDE already serves the Leicestershire and East Midlands region with low cost quality furniture for community groups, housing associations, social landlords and charities. This partnership will enable us to expand our operation by providing much needed office furniture and giving the third sector the opportunity to be part of a unique initiative which protects the environment and creates jobs. This partnership will also generate more money for our parent charity SHARP, the Shelter Housing Aid & Research Project.
