GreenWorks is dedicated to helping the environment by diverting large quantities of redundant office and educational furniture from landfill with the prime aim of ‘re-use’. As part of the London Re-use Network which is made up of local charities and not for profit organizations that work together to deliver reuse and repair services, GreenWorks collects from very large office blocks to single office suites and provides second hand quality re-use furniture to charities, community and educational groups and small business via the network.

Helping the Environment

GreenWorks aim is to reduce, reuse or remanufacture as much material as possible, whether that be material from chairs, wood from desks or even nuts, bolts and castors; some items however are unable to be reused so need to be recycled. Whilst recycling is a viable and successful route for unwanted or disposed-of items, reusing or remanufacturing uses far less energy and should therefore be pursued wherever possible. 

GreenWorks actively encourages employees, stakeholders and customers to reduce the amount of waste they generate, through knowledge sharing, advice. This is the first point of action to be taken.

Our reuse program is where GreenWorks really gets involved, our whole model is based around the reuse of items whatever comes through the doors we try to find a new use for it, nothing is thrown away, you can even buy a handbag lined with material from our chairs! We have provided materials for schools, businesses and local schemes free of charge.

Recycling is the final option for GreenWorks items and we continually strive to reduce this amount but we understand there are some items that just have to be recycled so we also provide a selection of recycling equipment to help you.
