About Us
Green Works was founded by Colin Crooks, the current CEO in 2000.
As an environmental consultant, he became aware of the huge volume of office furniture that was routinely land-filled and yet as a councillor Colin realised that many third sector organisations could not afford decent furniture.
A potential market and supply source for recycled office furniture existed but could not easily be linked.
The need was for a large space to store the redundant furniture whilst new owners were found.
Green Works was created to provide the solution.
