One of our recent FJF employees, Min talks about his experience After signing on at the jobcentre for over six months, I joined Green-Works via the Future Job Fund scheme, on a six months contract. I am studying to be an Accountant. I was looking for a job in Accountancy whilst doing this but it was so difficult to even get an interview without experience. I was placed in the Finance department as the Junior Credit Controller. I am working in a small finance team. All my colleagues have taught and explained to me all I have to do with Credit Control.
After a month, I started doing Purchase Ledger. I enjoy doing Credit Control and Purchase Ledger without any difficulties. My daily job refreshes my accounting knowledge and gives me a lot of help with my study. I was also given useful internal training for customer invoicing, managing cash and banking. I am more confident to find a job in Accountancy after finishing my contract with Green-Works. It should be easier with my experience.
