Books and Furniture arrive in Sierra Leone
29 September 2009
Green-Works have been working with CODEP on the Big Read project in the Waterloo region of Sierra Leone to ensure each school has a library and there is at least 2 books per child.Green-Works have been donating secure metal cabinates and storage units which will safely house the books ensuring they don't get wet or burnt.
Books have been donated from all across the UK and many have been collected by the Build on Books organisation which is a non-profit association supporting literacy projects in Sierra Leone.
You can now watch as the furniture arrives with over 30,000 books which are then distributed to schools across the region and hear from the people involved including the children - who are very excited!
